The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume has expanded its business into Argentina, partnering with Gilera Motors.
The Hero XPulse 200 will be offered for sale in Argentina, along with other products
Hero MotoCorp and Gilera Motors Argentina have expanded their activities in this Latin American country and inaugurated a flagship dealership in Argentina. Hero had recently revitalized its presence in Argentina by partnering with Gilera Motors, one of Argentina’s leading automotive companies and one of Latin America’s most experienced motorcycle manufacturers. Gilera Motors Argentina will make further investments, in an undisclosed amount, to rapidly expand the business operations of Hero MotoCorp products. This is expected to generate nearly 500 new jobs in the region, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

Sanjay Bhan, Head – Global Business, Hero MotoCorp, said: “We are pleased to rapidly expand our operations in Argentina. We have already made significant progress since announcing our new partnership with Gilera Motors Argentina in October. We have already opened a flagship store. and we are focused on increasing sales and service across the country. With our soon to be launched world famous product line, we are sure to captivate the market and attract customers.

Gilera Motors Argentina has also expanded its factory in the Carlos Spegazzini province of Buenos Aires to completely renovate its infrastructure and adapt the latest automotive technologies integrated into Hero MotoCorp products.

Commenting on the alliance, Omar Caruso, vice president of Gilera Motors Argentina, said, “Hero MotoCorp is the world’s leading manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters and it’s a great partnership for us. The new investment and new facilities that Gilera Motors Argentina is manufacturing will boost industry in the country. Customers will also benefit from the latest technology in Hero MotoCorp products such as the Xpulse 200 and Hunk 160R, which are Euro 3 and Euro 4 compliant. “
Hero MotoCorp and Gilera Motors Argentina have an aggressive expansion plan that includes expanding the sales and service network across the country. Hero MotoCorp will soon present its products in Argentina. Hero has R&D centers in India and Germany, with manufacturing plants in India, Colombia and Bangladesh.
