WhatsApp could soon let users create their own stickers, new feature expected on Android first- Technology News, dailynewscatch

The messaging app owned by Meta WhatsApp is working on a new sticker feature, where app users will be able to create their own stickers.

Currently, WhatsApp only has the ability to send stickers with the help of packs, which are provided either by the social network app or by a third party app.

However, the beta version of WhatsApp has been spotted with the sticker creation feature, and it is likely that this feature will be released soon on the stable version of the app. According to 91Mobiles, the update will be rolled out to Android devices first and then to iOS devices.

According to reports, users of the instant messaging app can also have the option to upload any image they want and create a sticker from it. Adding a custom tool to make the stickers more fun may also be available. The custom sticker maker will be available for both web and desktop versions of WhatsApp.

Along with this new feature, WhatsApp can also extend the message deletion time on the app. The desktop version of WhatsApp beta 2.2147.4. would have been spotted with a modification of the deletion time of a sent message. Previously, the message deletion time was one hour, eight minutes, and 16 seconds, but it can now be extended to seven days and eight minutes.

Message deletion time extension feature was first tested by WhatsApp Tracker WABetaInfo in beta version

WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot where the “Delete for everyone” option appeared in the screenshot of a post that was almost a day old.

Previously, WhatsApp planned to remove any restriction present on the time to delete a message, but now, although the time limit may continue to be present, it will be extended. However, this peculiarity of WhatsApp is still in its development phase.

At this time, there is no information as to when the extended delay message deletion feature will be released. Information on the release of the sticker maker is not yet available, but it is speculated that it could be released in the coming weeks.
