Tata Power Ties Up With NPCI Bharat BillPay To Provide ClickPay Services

The initiative will enable more than seven lakh customers of Tata Power

NPCI Bharat BillPay – the wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced its integration with Tata Power, the country’s largest integrated electricity utility on ClickPay – making it the first company to electricity to be brought online on the newly launched platform. Bharat BillPay – ClickPay offer will allow Tata Power customers to easily make monthly electricity bill payments.

The move will allow more than seven lakh customers of Tata Power (Mumbai) to pay their electricity bills transparently using ClickPay, according to a statement released by NPCI.

We believe this partnership would benefit a large number of Tata Power customers in terms of transparent utility bill payments. Customers now also have the freedom to pay their monthly electricity bill with just a few clicks, without having to go to the bill payment center, ” said Noopur Chaturvedi, CEO of NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited.

To provide an automated and valuable utility bill payment experience, Tata Power will generate the ClickPay link and share it with customers who will redirect them to the payment page including payment details. The transparent and secure two-step process will help customers pay their invoices without entering the invoice amount or remembering invoice payment dates.

“This payment option will bring more convenience to consumers of Tata Power (Mumbai) 7+ lakh to pay their bills digitally with one click. It can help Tata Power bring its customers from offline domain to online platform , ” said Mr. Nilesh Kane, Head of Distribution (Mumbai Operations) Tata Power.

“Tata Power (Mumbai) is the first electricity supplier to be uploaded to NBBL ClickPay. NPCI has always been very attentive to innovation and offers new user-friendly payment options, ”said Mr. Ramesh Subramanyam, CFO of Tata Power.
