Soha Ali Khan on pap culture: Inaaya doesn’t fear getting papped, instead she takes it in stride

There was a time when Soha Ali Khan’s daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, asked millions of questions about strangers taking pictures of her. But Khan shares that his four-year-old has come to terms with this constant attention over time.

“When she was little she would ask me, ‘Who are these people? And why are they taking pictures? She really didn’t know what was going on and if it was something that happened to everyone, “Soha tells us, adding,” She used to ask about strangers taking pictures of her, and why is it that people she doesn’t know are taking pictures of her.

The 43-year-old says she tried to explain to her little one that her family members are public figures and that people are interested in seeing them and their lives.

“Inaaya understood this concept. Now that doesn’t scare him. It doesn’t make her anxious. She sort of takes it in her stride. We’re also not trying to take him or anything, ”adds Khan, who is married to actor Kunal Kemmu.

With the pandemic, a sense of distance has also emerged between celebrities and paparazzi, which Khan appreciates. “Fortunately everyone wears masks so that the comfort is there too, where it is a little physically protected, and it is a little more anonymous”, she confides.

Khan also shares that when Inaaya turns down a photo at home, her parents respect her call.

“There are several times at home where she will tell me not to take her picture or video. And I respect that. She hasn’t said it yet when we go out and when she gets patted. But that would be something because sometimes these photos are taken without your consent, ”she said.

To conclude, the actor mentions, “This is something that my husband and other members of my family signed up for, but it’s not something that she signed up for. a conversation that she and I could have later but for now ”.
