First Train For Free Ayodhya Pilgrimage To Depart On December 3: Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Wednesday that the first train to Ayodhya, under the free pilgrimage program, would leave Delhi on December 3, and registrations for it have started.

The Chief Minister added that the free pilgrimage to Vailankanni Church in Tamil Nadu has also been included in the list of pilgrimage sites under the free Teerth Yatra program for the benefit of the elderly in Delhi Christian community.

All expenses for the pilgrimage will be borne by the Delhi government under the Mukhya Mantri Teerth Yatra Yojna.

“As part of the Delhi Elderly Free Pilgrimage Program, we send them to Ayodhya to have a darshan by Shri Ram Lalla. Our first train to Ayodhya will leave on December 3, registration has started, “Kejriwal said at a press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“We have also added the Velankanni Church in Tamil Nadu to the list of pilgrimage sites covered by this free pilgrimage program for the elderly in Delhi,” he added.

Besides Delhi, the chief minister made similar announcements in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Uttarakhand.

During his visit to Ayodhya on October 25-26, he announced that if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were able to form a government in Uttar Pradesh in the legislative elections of 2022, they would do Ram Lalla darshan in Ayodhya free for residents of Uttar Pradesh.

After that, Mr. Kejriwal also made a similar announcement for Goa. Addressing a press conference in Panaji on November 1, he said, “If we form the government in Goa, we will provide free pilgrimage facilities to Hindus here in Ayodhya.” He also announced free visits to Ajmer Sharif and Shirdi temples.

On November 21, Mr. Kejriwal said: “For the people of Uttarakhand who wish to visit Ayodhya, I declare that if the government is formed here, we will launch the same project as Delhi and make the visit to Ayodhya free for the people of Uttarakhand. In addition, there will be a provision from Ajmer Sharif for the Muslim Brotherhood and from Kartarpur for the Sikh Brotherhood ”.

The AAP is campaigning aggressively in six states – Goa, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab – where parliamentary elections are scheduled for next year.
