Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that he and his Cabinet colleagues will perform a Diwali puja that will be broadcast live on television.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the “Agr-Samagam” held at the Delhi Legislative Assembly to commemorate Agrasen Jayanti.
“I would like to inform you all that this year at Diwali I will be performing the puja with my ministers at 7pm which will be broadcast live. I urge you all to join us virtually in celebrating Diwali with your TV on,” Mr. Kejriwal said.
Diwali will be celebrated on November 4th.
The chief minister also said he will visit Ayodhya on October 26.
“I will travel to Ayodhya on Tuesday to pray to Lord Shri Ram for the welfare and progress of Delhi and its people and to seek blessings for a happy and healthy life for all of us,” he added.
In addition, Mr. Kejriwal thanked the Agrawal community for helping the needy over the past year and a half.
“Because I myself am from the Agrawal community, I saw how the people in our community lost their businesses and suffered heavy losses due to Covid. Despite all the adversities, the community fell apart. advance to help the needy at all times. He cannot be a better witness than I, “he said.
