Karan Tacker, who made his digital debut last year with Special Ops, is currently filming for his next web project in Jharkhand. In the future, he plans to explore the medium to the fullest as he challenges the artist in him. Speaking of which, he says, “It’s quite difficult to do something in the digital space. When you shoot something for eight hours as watched content, you can’t drop a scene thinking it’s filler.
According to Tacker, the Web is “the most difficult medium” because it “requires the most realism and creative content”. He remarks, “I would love to dive into it for that reason. People can catch you if you pretend. It further helps an actor participate in a longer form of storytelling.
What also interests the actor are the films. In 2008, he was seen in a minor appearance as Shah Rukh Khan’s main character, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. And now, he can’t wait to capture the imagination of the public with his presence on the big screen. “All actors become actors because of the idea of being staged in a theater. Getting a whole bunch of people together in a room for collective viewing is a very different experience and I enjoyed that as an audience. I would love for people to watch me make a movie with that same flair, ”Tacker shares.
So, does he have a list of directors he wants to work with? “I would love to do a 120 minute format with Neeraj Pandey. I like its rhythmic narratives and its time-relevant content. I would also like to work with Sriram Raghavan. I have always wanted to explore the worlds of Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. They have a very different sense of storytelling, ”he concludes.
