Launch of JioPhone has been delayed

The release of JioPhone Next will begin before Diwali, Reliance Jio said on Thursday night. Although the company announced in June that Jio’s new, less expensive phone will launch to Ganesh Chaturthi (September 10), it announced in a press statement that the smartphone is currently undergoing advanced tests, and will be released before Diwali, which takes place on November 4 this year.

Delays in the announcement of prices for Jio Phone Next and delivery plans appear to be linked to global semiconductor shortages, as Jio said in his announcement that “this extra time will also help reduce current industrial shortages, shortages of semiconductors worldwide.”

Reliance Jio had announced in June the launch date for September 10 and said it was being built with Google, and would bring smartphone features like Android and Play Store, but at a phone price. Although the company has not yet announced a certain amount of JioPhone Next, the leak has suggested it could cost Rs. 3,499, or $ 50.

JioPhone Next aims to provide 2G users with a way to improve, and Jio announced in a statement on Thursday night, “This device and app will provide the most up-to-date premium capabilities associated with the most powerful smartphones, including first-voice features. enabling people to use content and navigate the phone in their language, send a better camera experience, and get the latest Android feature and security updates. “

It says calls are currently being tested by a few users, and will be widely distributed by Diwali. At the same time, however, Jio noted that extra time would help address the semiconductor deficit. This is an issue that has affected many industries, from Smartphones to cars to video game consoles, and it is likely that this is a major cause of delays in the release of cheap smartphones.

JIO Phone Specification

Although Jio did not provide specific details for the upcoming smartphone, it revealed a few details over the phone. First, it works on 4G – as intended to operate on the Reliance Jio network. It will also feature Read Aloud and Translate Now features, making it easily accessible to users. The phone comes pre-loaded with Google Play, and some Indian Snapchat lenses.

Apart from this, from shared photos, we can see that it has dense bezels, and one camera at the front and back of the phone.

The previous leak suggests that JioPhone Next may run on Android 11 (Go edition) and may have a 5.5-inch display. The same leak features the Qualcomm QM215 SoC, with a 2,500mAh battery, dual SIM support, and 2GB or 3GB RAM options, as well as 16GB or 32GB storage options. However, this information has not been officially verified yet.
