Thanks for keeping it real, Hrithik Roshan. In the days of the carefully choreographed celebrity photos, Twitter users were pleasantly surprised when the actor shared a heartfelt photo with his mother this morning, not trying to hide a problem that plagues many Mumbai homes – infiltration and humidity in the walls. Twitter users quickly noticed the crumbling painting on the white wall visible behind the actor.
The mirror selfie was taken as Hrithik Roshan, 47, was enjoying a “breakfast date” with her mother, Pinky Roshan, on Wednesday morning. Sitting at the breakfast table, he captured his mother watching from a balcony and wrote, “At lazy breakfast with my mother. It’s a good morning.”
“Sunday, Wednesday is better,” the actor added, urging his fans to go and give their mother a hug.

A majority of Twitter users focused on the “seelan” or the dampness of the wall, seeing it as proof that the water damage from the Mumbai monsoon is real whether you are a celebrity or not.
“Whoever you are in life, undercover is the greatest leveler,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Everyone in Mumbai saw the infiltration … and felt good in their own home. Mumbai is a great leveler,” said another.
All the Mumbaites have seen the infiltration. And the scaffolding on the outside spoils the view. And felt good in their own homes. Mumbai is a great leveler. https://t.co/mPHaGwcmDe

Many took comfort in the fact that even celebrities faced “common man issues”. “So it’s confirmed, there is no solution to damp walls from excessive humidity. I can die in peace now,” one Twitter user joked.

Others were also amused by the view from the actor’s apartment, which appears to overlook a building under construction. “I suddenly feel so much better about the building going on next door. It’s not just my point of view, we’re all in the same boat,” one user said.
Bombay is the biggest leveler … aap kitne hi raees kyun na ho, scaffolding aur tarpaulin toh dikhega hi … https://t.co/sPyHydDYZC
