Divya Dutta: Heartening to see people getting fully vaccinated


Actor Divya Dutta is currently filming for his upcoming, Sharmaji Ki Beti, in Mumbai, and she is happy that the work has finally gone smoothly, even in the midst of the pandemic. The actor believes it was the awareness of the vaccination that propelled things in the right direction.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to shoot and also to come out without too much fear now. I hope there won’t be a third wave (of Covid-19). It was actually encouraging to see people getting the full vaccine. Whoever I meet, they took both hits, and it’s so delicious. When you reach a plateau now, everyone takes care of you, so, somewhere, normalcy sets in, ”shares the actor who would be seen next in Dhaakad.

However, there is one thing he lacks on set: not being able to greet his colleagues with a hug. “I miss that happy, and the way we also came together when we met someone after a long time. Now we can’t, and rightly so. Now we have started to hug elbows and hugs. punches. But desi warm ke bina incomplete lagta hai sab kuch ”, laments the actor, who will be 44 years old on 25 September.

Calling herself someone who is excited about her birthday, the Pure Qorma the actor jokes while sharing that she enjoys being pampered on her special day.

“The little child in me is still alive! I don’t always like to admit it, but I’m very excited. I’ve never had a silent birthday. Last year during the pandemic I thought it would be quiet, but ended up with the kids in my apartment building. One bestie came on foot, another on a bicycle – it was more for their celebrations. They sang and danced for me. Sometimes there were work birthdays. This year too, I will bring it to the sets of my film, ”concludes Dutta.
